Watch: Christian McCaffrey sets NFL record for consecutive games with a touchdown

All Christian McCaffrey does is score touchdowns.

The All-Pro running back set an NFL record for consecutive games with a touchdown during the Super Bowl era (16) on a three-yard run against the Vikings on "Monday Night Football." His last game without a touchdown was San Francisco's 13-0 win over New Orleans on Nov. 27, 2022.

Per ESPN Stats & Info, only former running back Lenny Moore had more consecutive games with a touchdown (17) from 1963-64.

Including the postseason, he has 20 touchdowns over his past 16 games. McCaffrey has 23 touchdowns in 21 games since being traded to San Francisco last October.

The trade for McCaffrey has worked out better than even the most optimistic 49ers fans could have imagined. However, for San Francisco to celebrate McCaffrey's historic game in style, it might need more from him against the Vikings.

San Francisco trails Minnesota, 16-7, in the second half, and McCaffrey has 12 carries for 37 yards. As much as he's meant to the 49ers, it's only fitting they will require more from McCaffrey to leave Monday night with a victory.
