Nate Robinson doesn’t trust Jayson Tatum’s Celtics in the playoffs despite them being the No.1 seed due to a bizarre reason
Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports

The Boston Celtics are having a fantastic season this year. The team is first in the East and has the best winning record in the entire NBA. As the league is now at the edge of the regular season, the Celtics are anticipated to have a similar dominating run in the playoffs as well.

However, everyone may not consider the Boston Celtics to have an undefeated performance in the postseason. Former Celtics guard Nate Robinson on ‘The OG’s Show’ claimed that regardless of the Boston team’s current standings he does not have faith in the team as they lack the ‘it factor’.

They can never get it done, I just have no faith in them. The It factor. Whatever 'it' is, they don't have it. Nate Robinson said

Robinson’s claim may not be entirely wrong as the Celtics have failed after coming near the finish line more than a few times. In recent history, the team has made it to the conference finals twice and the NBA finals once. But during both times the team has come short and has dropped a once-in-a-year chance.

However, the Celtics have a significantly improved record this season compared to previous years. They have maintained the top spot in their division for an extended period. Having an MVP candidate like Jayson Tatum on the team has also been beneficial; Tatum currently ranks in the NBA’s top 5 MVP ladder’s list. Despite past setbacks, the team has demonstrated strong playoff performances and aims to replicate this success.

Amidst scrutiny from multiple analysts, LeBron James has high praise for Jayson Tatum’s playoff runs

LeBron James has been in the league for 21 years now. The star certainly has experience about the league’s competitiveness during the postseason. To give credit where it’s due, during the first episode of his podcast ‘Mind the Game’, James took the opportunity to praise Tatum’s playoff run with the Celtics.

James admitted that Tatum has impressed him the most when it comes to the young players in the league. The 39-year-old was especially amazed by Tatum’s amount of conference and finals appearances at the age of 26. The four-time NBA Champion even compared Tatum’s playoff run to himself and the greats of the sport.

I think we have, in a way a lot of expectations in JT. He has experienced a lot of winning in his career so far. LeBron James said

James also believes that Tatum’s experience will eventually lead the team to have another great playoff run this season. According to the Lakers star, the Boston team is not far from winning a title in the future and by the looks of it, they might just prove James right.
